Headquartered in Houston, Texas, GEA of Texas has stocking and sales locations in Dallas and Austin, specializing in providing high quality industrial control products manufactured by internationally recognized companies to provide solutions to our customer’s application needs. GEA of Texas, Inc. has been a supplier of industrial automation components for over 50 years. The owner and founder is Marshall Gettys who was born in 1927 in Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Gettys attended Texas Tech and earned All-American honors as a defensive tackle on the Red Raider football team. After graduating with honors with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1950, he served in the Navy on tours in the South Pacific.
Mr. Gettys partnered with William “Bill” Adair in 1965 and, later, Ralph Eads. The name “GEA” was derived from these three surnames. Mr Eads left the partnership in 1976, and Mr. Adair in 1986.
David Aitken joined the company in 1974 and started the Dallas branch. Mark Gettys opened the Austin office in 1992.
The management at GEA has always worked with customers to solve their manufacturing technology issues. Our sales approach has been simple: to offer the best product for an engineered solution along with technical know-how and a lot of integrity and passion for the job.
